The Farm

We currently run 120 breeding ewes that we lamb in January/February each year. We have a growing herd of Dexter Cattle (currently at 44 in total) that run as a suckler herd with our Bull, Mr Howell. We have a Sow and a Boar (Cherry and Shane) as well as numerous chickens (including Ghengis the Cockerel!) and ducks that free range across the farm. In July we buy in day old turkey chicks that we rear for Christmas and also have a seasonal supply of Partridge, Wild Duck and Pheasant from our local shoot. 

We make all of our own winter forage including hay and haylage, both first and second cut if we are lucky enough to have good grass growth. We also bale our own straw which we purchase from our local Arable Farmer.
