We are very excited to lauch our range of courses that are designed to help aspiring farmers, ambitious smallholders and all round animal lovers!

Venue and Tutor
Helen Griffiths BSc PGCE, is a Veterinary Nursing Science graduate who alongside helping to run the family farm, lectures in agriculture livestock production. This programme will be held on her family farm in Ashleworth, Gloucestershire.
Sheep Handling and Husbandry - £150
This training programme offers valuable and extensive knowledge to both new sheep keepers and smallholders alike. Aimed to equip you with the necessary information and skillset to safely and efficiently run a healthy and successful flock – big or small.
Topics covered:
- Safe Handling including turning and gathering.
- General Equipment
- Husbandry tasks – foot-trimming, lameness, first aid, dagging, condition scoring, aging.
- Worming and anthelmintic treatments.
- Safe use and administration of medicines.

A Day in The Lambing Shed - £100
Running Daily throughout our lambing period
2022 Dates: 14/01/2022 - 28/01/2022
This day will consist of a combination of theory based learning as well as practical application within the lambing shed. The running of the day will be dictated by the ewes in the shed
During the day we will cover:
- Care for pregnant sheep
- Lambing Shed set-up
- Equipment List of lambing essentials
- Recognise Labour & identifying common problems
- Delivering aftercare to the ewes and lambs
We have done everything possible to give the best chance of 'live' lambing during the course, but we cannot 100% guarantee it. We do however have our very own lambing simulator where you can practice different lamb presentations.
